On Mac, installed Apple Siri voices read your text locally. If a Siri voice is missing, the Mac app explains how to install it and offers “Read with standard voice this time” for that reading.

Paste and Read, macOS Services and optional PopClip put it close at hand. Change the speed from 0.50–1.50×, seek backward or forward, or repeat a sentence.

macOS 14+ · Apple silicon tested. Support for Intel and older macOS is not confirmed. Apple’s command-line developer tools are required for Siri voices on Mac; the app guides you.

Speech happens on your Mac. The last 20 readings stay locally. Optional iCloud Drive sync shares readings and settings between your own Macs.

on iphone

Library audio ships inside Pocket. Your own text is sent to Okuyor’s server to produce the voice and is not stored there. The audio is cached only on your phone.

can i get it?

Both apps are private. Mac is a private preview; Pocket is in development. The Mac preview is not notarized. There is no public download, App Store release or TestFlight.

is it free?

No price has been set yet.

which languages?

English, Turkish and Spanish. Pocket’s Spanish cloud voice has a Spain accent. Its learner library includes English A2/B1, Spanish from Spain A2/B1, and Turkish.

do i need siri voices on my mac?

Yes, Mac is designed around installed Apple Siri voices. If one is missing, the Mac app helps you install it and offers a standard voice for that reading. Mac requires macOS 14+ and Apple’s command-line developer tools; Apple silicon is tested, support for Intel and older macOS is not confirmed.

does my text leave my device?

On Mac, speech runs locally; optional iCloud Drive sync is your choice. On iPhone, your own text goes to Okuyor’s server for cloud speech and is not stored there. Library audio is already inside Pocket.

does practice score my pronunciation?

No. Practice compares the words you type with the sentence you heard.

what about android?

The first two apps are Mac and iPhone. An Android app is not promised.
